About Shelley

Shelley Sugarman has been a criminal law specialist since she became a lawyer more than 25 years ago. Since that time she has been asked to represent clients throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.

She has worked on an array of high profile cases and is one of the most senior women defense lawyers in British Columbia. As well, she has devoted herself to the practice of criminal law and now enjoys mentoring other young lawyers.

In 2017 Shelley was honoured with being appointed to Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) by British Columbia's Lieutenant-Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Attorney General. This designation recognizes exceptional merit and contribution to the legal profession.
